Superfood-Packed: Almond Butter Brownies

These brownies are not only delicious but also packed with protein, fiber, and healthy fats from almond butter, chia seeds, flaxseed, and hemp seeds.

Almond Butter Brownies


- 1 cup almond butter

- 2 large eggs

- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

- 1/4 teaspoon salt

- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)

- 1/4 cup chopped almonds (optional)

- 2 tablespoons chia seeds

- 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed

- 2 tablespoons hemp seeds


1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine almond butter, eggs, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and well combined.

3. In a separate bowl, sift together cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until fully incorporated.

5. Fold in the dark chocolate chips and chopped almonds if using.

6. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.

7. Sprinkle chia seeds, ground flaxseed, and hemp seeds over the top of the batter, pressing them lightly into the surface.

8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs.

9. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
