If you do one thing… find your purpose

There are so many things in life pulling for our attention—work, relationships, health, finances, and the endless “shoulds” society places on us. But if I could encourage you to do just one thing that will truly change your life, it would be this: find your purpose.

Reflect on your gifts. ask yourself, what comes naturally to you? what do others often see your help with?

Why Purpose Matters

Purpose isn’t just a nice concept—it’s fuel. It’s what gets you out of bed when life feels heavy. It’s the compass that points you back to your true north when distractions try to pull you off track. Without it, even success feels empty. With it, even the smallest steps feel significant.

When you live aligned with purpose:

  • Your decisions become clearer.

  • Your energy feels focused instead of scattered.

  • Your challenges don’t break you—they shape you.

  • Your joy expands because you’re connected to something bigger than yourself.

How to Start Finding It

Finding your purpose doesn’t always come in a single lightning bolt moment. Often, it unfolds gently as you lean into what lights you up and listen to what God has been whispering all along.

Here are a few ways to start:

  • Reflect on your gifts. What comes naturally to you? What do others often seek your help with?

  • Pay attention to what energizes you. Notice the moments when time flies by and you feel fully alive.

  • Ask God. Through prayer, journaling, and quiet moments, invite Him to show you where He’s leading you.

  • Connect pain to purpose. Sometimes our hardest experiences become the foundation of the work we’re called to do.

Living in Alignment

When you discover your purpose, the goal is not to chase perfection but to live in daily alignment. That might mean saying “no” to opportunities that don’t fit, investing more in the ones that do, and being courageous enough to keep walking in the direction you’re called—even when it feels uncomfortable.

Purpose doesn’t always make life easier, but it does make it worth it.

✨ Your Turn: If you do one thing this week, take time to reflect: Am I living in alignment with my purpose? If not, what’s one small step I can take to move closer?
